1. Who we are
NotMyJob is a software-as-a-service bookkeeping tool for Swiss solo freelancers, operated by Perdrisat, sole proprietorship (raison individuelle), Rue De-Candolle 36, 1205 Genève, Switzerland. UID: CHE-317.870.264. Registered in the Geneva commercial register on 13 March 2019 (journal 4771/2019) ("we", "us", "NotMyJob"). You can reach us at [email protected].
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you ("you", "User") and us when you create an account or use the service.
2. The service
NotMyJob helps you record invoices, expenses, payments, VAT, and exchange rates, and produces summary reports (VAT declaration, balance sheet, profit & loss). The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.
NotMyJob is a tool. It is not a tax advisor, fiduciary, accountant, or legal representative, and using it does not create a professional engagement.
Optional AI expense extraction can suggest expense fields from an uploaded receipt or invoice. It is opt-in; when you enable it, the receipt or invoice is sent to OpenAI's European API region for processing as described in our Privacy Policy.
3. Your responsibilities
You alone are responsible for:
- the accuracy, completeness, and lawfulness of every piece of data you enter;
- selecting the correct VAT method, VAT rate, filing period, and chart-of-accounts configuration for your business;
- reviewing every invoice, expense, credit note, exchange rate, and report before using it for any external purpose;
- reviewing every field suggested by AI expense extraction before saving or using it;
- filing your tax returns, VAT declarations, AHV contributions, and any other filings with the relevant Swiss authorities on time and with correct figures;
- keeping your login credentials and two-factor authentication recovery codes secure;
- retaining your own backup copies of your accounting data (the in-app export is available at any time).
You must not use NotMyJob for unlawful activity, to impersonate another person or business, or to process data you have no right to process.
4. Beta period
Parts of NotMyJob may be labelled "beta" or experimental. Beta features may change, break, or be removed without notice. Before relying on a beta feature for any filing, verify the output independently.
5. Subscription and billing
New accounts receive a 14-day free trial. After the trial, continued access to accounting features requires a paid subscription (currently CHF 20/month, billed via Stripe). You can cancel at any time from your account; cancellation stops further renewals and leaves your data exportable until deletion.
Prices may change. We will notify you in advance of any price change that affects your renewal.
6. No warranty of accuracy
We do everything we can to keep the calculations correct — double-entry balance is enforced, VAT is allocated with integer basis points, exchange rates come from ECB publications. But software can have bugs, third-party data can be wrong, and configuration errors on your side can produce wrong outputs.
AI expense extraction suggestions can be incomplete, misread, or wrong.
We do not warrant that the reports, balances, VAT figures, or any other output of NotMyJob are accurate, complete, or suitable for your tax or legal filings. You must verify all figures before submitting them to any authority or third party. If in doubt, consult a fiduciaire or tax advisor.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Swiss law, our aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or related to the service is limited to the total subscription fees you have paid to us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including lost profits, loss of goodwill, loss of data, business interruption, tax penalties, interest, late-filing surcharges, or fines, even if we have been advised of their possibility.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for intent or gross negligence (Swiss Code of Obligations art. 100), for personal injury, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Your data
You own the data you put into NotMyJob. We process it to provide the service as described in our Privacy Policy.
You can export all your data at any time (CSV, JSON, PDF). On account deletion, your data is removed from live systems within 30 days and from backups within 90 days, except where we are required by law to retain specific records.
9. Intellectual property
The NotMyJob software, interface, and brand are ours. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership of them to you. You get a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service while your account is active.
10. Suspension and termination
You can delete your account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these Terms, that is used for unlawful purposes, or where required by law.
11. Changes to the service and to these Terms
We may change the service or these Terms. We will notify you of material changes by email or in-app at least 30 days before they take effect. If you do not agree with the new Terms, you can cancel your subscription and export your data before the changes apply.
12. Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Swiss law, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The exclusive place of jurisdiction is Genève, Switzerland, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection provisions of your place of residence.
